Default Christians and followers of God: Why Christianity?

Hello my Christian friends. I was just wondering why you believe in Jesus Christ and the Christian religion. Why not Islam, Judaism, Buddhism?
If your answer is that you were born into a Christian family so God meant for you to be a Christian, then what about all the other people in the world? And for people who discovered the faith on their own, did you consider the other options before choosing Christianity?
You didn't NEED to answer this one "Bunny"... Lil

Ya, its CZ they were born into a christian family and were taught that Christianity is right and everything else is wrong. Just like how someone born into a Muslim family would grow up being taught that Islam is the right religion. It all depends on where you're born.

I used to be a Christian, but I realized that the Bible was mostly myth and I also realized that Jesus was only a man, not the actual son of God.
So now, I am no longer a Christian, but instead follow a different path.

The truth is that JESUS is God, and only Jesus offers a free gift of salvation by faith alone in Jesus without works.

Every other belief system forces you to try to "earn" heaven, or to ignore heaven (like atheism)

But nobody can "earn" heaven, and ignoring heaven just leaves the person unsaved and on the way to hell. And it is too late to be saved, after death.

The truth is that the death and blood of Jesus is the only acceptable SACRIFICE and PAYMENT for our sins, and we are all sinners. JESUS died on the cross and shed His blood, for our sins. Nothing else pays for any of our sins, and it is already done. All the good deeds in the world won't pay for even ONE of our sins. All the "living a moral life" won't pay for even one of our sins. No "religions of the world" can pay for Antone's sins.

The truth is that Jesus died on the cross to pay for our sins, and then Jesus rose from the dead. That is why Jesus had to die on the cross, because there is no other way for us to be saved. You must believe in Jesus for His free gift of salvation, to be saved! John 3:16! That easy to get into heaven!

The truth about Jesus is that the only way to be saved and to get into heaven and avoid being sent to hell, is by believing in JESUS for His free gift of eternal life in heaven, believing in faith alone that Jesus, who is God, died on the cross for all our sins as FULL PAYMENT for all our sins, and then Jesus rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe in Jesus for His free gift of salvation, and you will be in heaven, no matter what! John 3:16, John 6:47!

Jesus is God, and Jesus loves you so very much! And the Trinity is true! Jesus is the Messiah!

Salvation is a FREE GIFT that happens in a split second when you believe in JESUS for His free gift of salvation! It is impossible to lose or "leave" salvation (John 6:39-40, John 10:28, 1 John 5:13).

Please pray now: "Jesus, I believe that You died on the cross to pay for my sins and that You rose from the dead, and I thank You for eternal life!" You will be in heaven with Him forever when you die!

The ONLY WAY to get into heaven, is by believing in Jesus for His free gift of salvation! John 14:6, Acts 4:12, John 3:16!

I don't believe in Jesus Christ. He's actually just as real as you and me.

If you mean that I believe in His teachings, I do, because only a God can make statements like "I forgive sin" or "you must be born again to inherit the kingdom of God"

God's son Jesus said that no one is coming to the Father except by and through him. This pretty much settles the case for all religions on earth.

If you do a careful study of the Torah and the Prophets and the New Testament, you will soon discover that only a divine being could have inspired such writings.

I believe in Jesus Christ because He is the only one who holds eternal life...

Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life? Jn 6:68.

Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. John 17:3

Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comet unto the Father, but by me.
Act 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

because JESUS says so and that's the TRUTH !

This is really an interesting question. I was raised Catholic but the older I got the more I thought my God would not do this. Some of the things they teach in this religion are just weird. Like sending babies into limbo and purgatory. I'm sorry but my God is not a cruel God, He would never send an innocent baby into limbo and as for purgatory, I'm sorry but with my God there is no middle. So I dropped all that and developed my own personal relationship with God and it seems to work out fine with me. I do however believe that people get their beliefs from the way they were raised and taught.

Because it is the truth.

I was born into a Christian family. I "reverted" to Islam when I was a teenager, left it in my early 20s, almost converted to Orthodox Judaism, tried some other religions until becoming an atheist. Met a Buddhist girl and for her check out Buddhism. I found it depression and when we broke up went back to atheism. Since February I been christian.

Let's study history and the historical figures of world religions: all prophets died and never rose again. Jesus died and rose again and live forevermore. Thus, all logical people know who to follow: Jesus. Who has never heard of this history of Jesus?

Buddha Gautama worshiped Dhamma (the Truth) as in the scripture Dhamma-pad. "Only those who live under Dhamma will reach the place beyond death" (Dhamma-pad VI:86). Jesus is the only person proclaiming Himself as Dhamma (John 14:6).

Historically ?This formula ? Bimillahi Brahmani ahemEMis of Jewish origin. It was in the first instance taught to the Koreish by Omayah of Taief the poet (one of the Hanyfs, Sprenger, i.76) who was a contemporary with, but somewhat older than, Muhammad, and who, during his mercantile journeys into Arabia Petraea and Syria, had made himself acquainted with the sacred books and doctrines of Jews and Christians (Kitab al-Aghani, 16, Delhi). Muhammad adopted and constantly used it, and it is prefixed to each Sura except the ninth? (1876 J.M.Rodwell ?The Koran?). Syriac Christians at the time of Muhammad called Jesus as Rahmana (1902 H. Hirschfeld ?New Researches into the Composition and Exegesis of the Quran).

Unlike the 5 pillars, the Quran proclaims that salvation is only through the Grace of God (Rahmanullah or Allah Ar-Rahman). ?None shall have the power of intercession, but such a one as has received permission (or promise) from Ar-Rahman? (Quran 19:87). See also 17:110 25:59-60, 20:108-109, 19:18-21. The Quran calls out Ar-Rahman most in Quran chapter 19 titled ?Mary? the mother of Jesus.

The Bible proclaims that we are saved by Rahman (Grace) through Jesus, not by our own works but as a gift, and transformed by Rahim (Mercy) through the Holy Spirit (Titus 3:4-8 NKJV, Eph 2:7-8). Truth and Rahman came through Jesus (John 1:17). Jesus is Ar-Rahman, and the Holy Spirit is Ar-Rahim. The Quran agrees with the Bible that intercession or salvation comes only through Jesus Ar-Rahman. We pray in the name of one Allah: the Father, the Most Gracious Son Jesus, and the Most Merciful Holy Spirit. Thus, according to the Quran and the Bible, salvation is only through Jesus.

Magi of Eastern Religions bowed & worshiped Jesus (Matt 2:11). Jesus Himself proclaims that He has religious followers not of Judaism that He is bringing together (John 10:16).

All religions believe that God (the Father) are incorporeal. Thus, God In Person in OT was Jesus, the LORD. In Genesis 18, Jesus, the LORD, was one of the 3 persons visited and dined in Abraham?s place. Thus, God In Person in OT was Jesus, the LORD. In Genesis 18, Jesus, the LORD, was one of the 3 persons visited and dined in Abraham?s place. ?So the LORD (Jesus) spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend? (Ex 33:11). ?Then the LORD (Jesus) came down in the cloud, and spoke to him, and took of the Spirit that was upon him, and placed the same upon the seventy elders; and it happened, when the Spirit rested upon them, that they prophesied" (Num 11:25-30, NKJV). Thus, Abraham & Moses worshiped Jesus, the "I AM" or "I Be" or "God Revealed" whose name in the LORD.

Those world scriptures (versus the religions/commentaries on the scriptures) lead to Jesus. All roads lead to Jesus. All people who seek God with all their hearts instead of simply following men will find Jesus as God.

Because it makes the most sense. And when I pray and read the bible. The holy spirit testifies to my spirit that this is beyond a shadow of a doubt God speaking to me through his word ( The bible ) .
Jesus said in the bible "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. " He wasn't kidding. When I read the bible I get a boost of positive energy, and have hope that the future is in God hands and that everything will be alright. Truly the words in the bible are the very words of God.
