Default Question about Christianity..?

Ok, so Jesus supposedly died to save you from your sins right? So that means that as long as you believe in Jesus and that the poor guy died for you, you can pretty much sin as much as you want and still go to Heaven? If so, than I am never converting to Christianity..
wow....Ok definitely not converting

We all sin, we live and we learn from our mistakes. I think that if you learned you did wrong and is great fully sorry for what you did----then you may enter Heaven. However, I don't judge, it's not our job to.

you can sin as much as you want and god will forgive you if you ask for forgiveness, but that's not the point. just cause you can doesn't mean you should. and heaven isn't based on sins, its based on your faith and loyalty to worship god. Also, to "believe" in him just to get into heaven isn't real faith and will not get you into heaven because he always knows when someone truly loves him.

No it does NOT mean that. This is a common misconception reinforced by false prophets who do not understand the Gospel.

Jude 3 Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt I had to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints. 4 For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.

Please notice and do a word by word of verse 25 i included other verses so this is kept in context Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
3:25 Whom God hath set forth [to be] a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
Notice "Sins that are past" in 1 John 1:9 The Lord Jesus does forgive sins AND Cleanses you and i from all unrighteousness, God accepts you the way you are but never ever leaves you in that way, Find out more free bible lessons WNW.vop.com on line bible WNW.bibleuniverse.com God bless take care.

Right again Jesus died to end the need for the blood sacrifice among other things. He died as a symbol that He would not change his believes even when tortured and to proof to us that yes God is real. He died for a lot of good reason and a lot of bad reasons. But mostly He died because it was symbolic to the world and He needed to overcome death.

You don?t go around doing all kinds of sin thinking that Jesus will save you in the end. The simple truth is God is not blind, God is not without reason God will judge regardless of what we believe.

As simplistic is your logic is let me go slowly.

1. Jesus died for our sins because as God, only God could be a worthy sacrifice to God. (See Trinity)

2. If you accept that and truly believe it in your heart then you begin to show it in your life which means you will likely sin and repent more.

3. Comparing anyone to anyone is pointless since you know neither their heart nor their grace.

4. When you love something it changes you. Whatever that is it WILL change you.

5. Planning to say you love someone only to do things that contradict love means you were not genuine in the first place.

Jesus the Christ should have lived, He was our test and we failed.

Do NOT convert!! Jesus was offered as a HUMAN SACRIFICE!!!! Animal and human sacrifices are so primitive and so neanderthal and so crazy it doesn't make sense at all to believe in those ancient barbaric acts, in this modern day and age!!!!

All religions are ancient, primitive, foolish, superstitious nonsense!!!! I follow nature, science and atheism, and I'm very very happy and content in life!!.........Serious!!
.......It's hard to get religion out of your head, because you're brainwashed with it and you get addicted to it! But I totally got religion out of my head and I used to be a very very religious person! It takes time, it's a process!!!

NO.

A Christian cannot continue to practice sin in any way or amount and still be forgiven.

Notice:

"For *if we practice sin willfully after having received the accurate knowledge of the truth*, there is *no longer any sacrifice for sins left*."---Hebrews 10:26

"If anyone catches sight of his brother sinning a sin that does not incur death, he will ask, and he will give life to him, yes, to those not sinning so as to incur death. *There is a sin that does incur death. It is concerning that sin that I do not tell him to make request*."---1 John 5:16

". . . All hearts Jehovah is searching, and every inclination of the thoughts he is discerning. If you search for him, he will let himself be found by you; *but if you leave him, he will cast you off forever*." --1 Chronicles 28:9b

Christ died to repurchase the RIGHT to perfect HUMAN life for OBEDIENT humans:

"As regards the heavens, to Jehovah the heavens belong,
But the EARTH he has given to the sons of MEN." ---Psalms 115:16

"Happy are the mild-tempered ones, since they will inherit the EARTH."---Matthew 5:5

Now don't numb yourself with heavy dose of skepticism - you need your first lesson in religion:

the non Christian really has no logical alternative but to accept that Jesus is God:

?I?m ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don?t accept his claim to be God.? That is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic-on a level with the man who says he is a poached egg-or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God; or else a madman or something worse.

You can shut him up for a fool, you can spit at him and kill him as a demon; or you can fall at his feet and call him Lord and God. ?

For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form,
Col 2:9 (NIV)

now - tell me when you're ready for your second lesson - just fine tune yourself and watch this space !!!

He didn't die so that we can keep sinning after being forgiven. He died so that we could realize that after being forgiven of our sins, we would come to realization of God's true love for us. In this way, our hearts start to change in a way that you begin to hate sin and want to no longer do it. If you repent of your sins but continue to commit them because you believe that it will be okay just because God has forgiven it, means that you were not sincere in the first place. If you truly repent, then God will begin to transform your heart so that you would hate sin.

Jesus died so that our sins could be forgiven, and we once more had the right to enter heaven. Baptism erases the stain of original sin, and all sins committed. After Baptism all sins committed must be forgiven.
