Christianity has a lot of violence in their history for sure. The good news is that most Christians today have realized their error and are moving towards becoming a more peaceful religion.

It wasn't supposed to be that way, but things can be perverted if we let them.

For sure...and think about the belief that if your not Christian, you go to hell. If that's not terrorism, I don't know what is.

And today on the news I hear that they are forming a Christian based government? I'm scared...I want to defect for sure now.

Of course it does, right now it's the born agings that are the worst offenders, while the traditional historical offenders (catholics) have mellowed out a bit.

Not terrorists, but it (religion) has been used as a motivation for war since the start of time. The world would be Soho much better off without those holier than thou types, as much as i hate Christianity i wouldn't call them terrorists.

Stop quoting statistics without listing the sources/links you get them from, then I'll form an opinion.

As a religion it may be... Christians have always been arrogant guys and wolves under sheep's clothing as Jesus says.
Christ isn't a terrorist. He's a model to learn from. It is faith in Christ that is important, not Christianity.

who knows... I sometimes think the God of the Bible has abandoned the Christians.

Those in power seem to choose violence, yes... But so does anyone in power. Before there was Christianity people fought wars in the name of their gods.

Individuals are not terror its, most of us aren't violent and we don't wish harm on anyone.

Stop lumping us all together please.

Its like saying "All white people are KKK members" or something. Its ridiculous. Theres a few in Indiana... The rest of us are normal.

Just because Bush has called for a dumb ass war and touts himself as Christian doesn't mean we all like it.

a true Christian is not a terrorist, or massacre.
they give Jesus a bad name. and every one associates Christianity with them. not all Muslims are terrorists so why call all Christians terrorists.

the history of Christianity has shown over the years how far its members will go to convert others. Force if necessary. The way I see it is Christianity is a controversial religion. Full of contradictions and negativity as well as the good and decent parts. Wars have been fought in the name of God and Christ and it continues to be that way. we look at the Muslim language because of the extremists who give it a bad name but we should look as well at the fact that Christianity has extremists as well. Always has and I am sure always will.

Can you quote what source says that "Christians have incited 99% of the massacres in the world".
Besides that, that statement there is just as foolish as saying that Islam is the only religion that advocates terrorism.
It isn't. All religious texts preach a double-standard of hatred and peace at the same time.
Worse is, their followers, given a brain to think with, follow the dogma and make up more religious myths and rubbish to go about their selfish, humanly ways!

G.W. Bush is a Christian and as a result we're making and designing nuclear weapons faster than ever before. How is that not terror.

He's a Christian, they all voted for him, and nuclear proliferation is the byproduct of their 'faith'.

This may have been the situation years ago before and after the time of the infamous inquisition.
However, now it appears that fundamentalist Islam is trying to beat Christianity's record.

Absolutely not! Christianity teaches the ultimate patience, forgiveness and piece. Jesus himself teaches about not to take revenge but to pray for the enemies. This is only and only the Christianity which teaches about finding the enemy and offer him the good things to eat. What has happened in the past that is not taught any where in the bible nor in the gospels. If U know GANDHI, the Indian leader to free India, he quoted that I like Christianity but not the Christians.

I think so jay. I hear he gives some useful info once in a while. I don't know which history book tells us that 99% of wars are caused by religion. Maybe Martin Luther King Jr. was trying to make a war.

Here is a list of wars! Pick one that was caused by Christians:
* 1947 ? Kashmir conflict
* 1950-1953 Korean War (technically still going on because there is only a ceasefire)
* 1964- Colombian Armed Conflict (aka Colombian Civil War, Colombian Conflict)
* Late 1960s Islamic Insurgency in the Philippines
* 1975 - Independence War in Cabinda Angola
* 1983- Ethnic conflict in Sri Lanka see also Tamil tigers
* 1984- Civil war in Papua , Western New Guinea, Indonesia
* 1986- Lord's Resistance Army rebellion in Uganda
* 1988- Casamance Conflict in Senegal
* 1988- Somalian Civil War
* 1993- Ethnic conflict in Nagaland, India
* 1996- Nepal Civil War
* 1999- Ituri Conflict (Democratic Republic of Congo)
* 1999- Second Chechen War (Russia)
* 2000- Intifada in the Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories
* 2000- Conflict in Laos involving the Hmong
* 2001- Civil War in C?te devourer
* 2001- South Thailand insurgency
* 2001- Afghanistan occupation
* 2003- Iraq war
* 2003- Conflict between Pakistan and Baloch warlords in Balochistan, Pakistan

Ibn Warraq put it, "Historically speaking, Monotheism has often shown itself to be ferociously intolerant, in contrast to polytheism on behalf of which religious wars have never been waged."

?Christians see it as their duty to save the soul of the non-believer, who is seen as inferior. Such religions are inherently predatory and destructive of the cultural systems that they encounter in their role as the aggressor.?

Christian churches have formed terrorist organization in non christian countries. In north east India they have been using all methods for conversion including conversions at gun point. In some states they have literally banned practicing Hinduism in last four years. 20 Hindus were killed only in 2001 for not converting.

Once they get considerable number of converts they turn more aggressive and resort to more violent tactics, They have been trying to break India and make a separate christian nation now. Thats the fruit we got for being tolerant and giving them freedom to practice their religion. I gave you just a glimpse.

I was surprised by people who answered your question by referring to history.

It is inter sting to see that many Christians are blissfully unaware of these facts!Or is it wishfull blindness?
