Default Why everytime I come on here, somebody has a problem with Christianity?

Or any religion period. Its all senseless bigotry unless we give accurate knowledge about our own beliefs and stop putting to shame each others religion, truth will reveal itself in time. Its cool if we speak with integrity but dint put on a front just because your confident in your belief and start knocking others. If you have a question about someones belief, don't be a moron about it. Just ask with no sarcasm. That's why we have so many religions today.

I think that here, people feel protected by anonymity and not having to look another person in the face or deal with them in real life. So the bigotries and hostilities come out. Hopefully, some people learn from that.

But it's Christians who command the moral high ground saying they're right and having problems with all other beliefs. Damning other religious people to hell and saying that they are wrong.

Christians are usually asking for it.

Actually I knock other religions because the truth is more important than politeness or some time line you think brings truth to the surface in good time.

People suffer when truth is ignore. It is not a front to ridicule something worthy of ridicule when it passes itself off as intelligence.

I agree, but it's a two way street. I think people should probably read the doctrine of what they're against, and it seems on here that very few people do. It's very easy to take verses of the Bible out of context, and many people do. It's very poorly written, and of course with the strange ancient Hebrew language techniques for emphasis and the like, it can all get a bit confusing. Unfortunately, many people look at the basics, and think that it's enough to make an informed decision. It's really not. You may have chosen the right answer, but you have still done it blindly...

If you'd just flip that coin, you'd see there's a whole other side to it.
Heck, do you need us to spell it out for you?

Just stop for a minute an imagine you are a normal person who just doesn't believe in God, you don't have any problem with anyone following a religion but personally you think it is just all BS.

You don't mind what someone else believes, but you don't like being told "how things are" by someone who does believe in that stuff.

Now browse Y!A questions and look at any questions that are titled "Atheists, why...."

Default We, all of us, are here to give and take abused, learn, teach and preach.

We, all of us, are here to give and take abused, learn, teach and preach.
You will recognize that we are all here to do the five things at issue. Nothing else.
You will agree that we are all here to improve on what we knew in the past as compared to now. We all wish to continue this process.
Like it or not, learning and teaching happen at the same time. Preaching is the ego bonus we all give ourselves as the benefit to the activity and participation here. Otherwise, we would not be here.
The best way to learn is to teach. We are all here to learn how to preach more effectively.
Why?
I think that it is fundamentally because, ------ we are all as fundamentally tied to how we think------ as any fundamental literalist Christian or Muslim fanatic -------, or in fact, any person anywhere of any faith or non-faith as with atheists etc, -----all humans, ----- including yourself, ------- are fundamentally locked into how you and others think at any given point in time. Things can be no other way. If you can accept this concept, you will admit it includes you.
Proof is that, ------be it at the theological level or at the philosophical level, ------ the only two levels that you think in, ------- all of us need something really spectacular to change our minds.
For this, we all accept the give and take of abuse that posting brings.
Who of you will say that you are here to change your mind about anything major in your thinking pattern?
My money is on almost none of us.
That is why you will rarely see a statements that show a reversal in thinking on anything fundamental. This is also why you see so much petty back biting and people answering posts with comments that are a waste of everyone’s time.
We also all give abuse to those we disagree with. Be that that was done in a more eloquent way. That would be a blessing. As we preach to each other, let us make it worth the reading.
If you are here as I suggest, to do only four of the things at issue, ------- broadly speaking -------then good.
If some other, please tell.
Regards
DL
