I dint know why, because in reality, the Jews who may or may not have started it, knew more about Hellenist Paganism than the Bible, Judaism, or Gd. The origins of Christianity are not Judaism.
Who does this sound like:: 'his mother was Human, but his father was god'? That sounds like a description of Jesus, but it is also a description of Hercules whose human mother was Alcmene, and whose father was Zeus. Or Dionysus, whose human mother was Semele and whose father was Zeus. (Zeus really got around!)
Who does this sound like:: 'he was born in the winter, died in the Spring, came back to life three days later, and those who believe that he died for them get eternal life? Sounds like Jesus again, but also decibels Attis, Dionysus, Adonis, Ra, and Mithra! Look up Mithra on the web.....
