The world needs knowledge and first-hand experience of God, instead of faith.
Keep searching.

Of course it needs faith, which provides so many benefits to its believers, but it needs the Right faith, which is Judaism.

In your mind Christianity and faith are interchangeable, although faith does not necessarily imply Christianity. Faith is a belief in something that can't be pr oven to ones satisfaction. In a way you have faith that men landed on the moon. (Or you don't, and you've come up with elaborate explanations of the hoax used to convince others to believe.)

Hello misspending..

Christianity is not fading..as a matter of fact it is flourishing..

Faith is the substance of things hoped for..the evidence of things not yet seen..

In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..In Christ..

No, in fact it is quite the opposite. It means the world needs faith even MORE.

i wasn't under the impression that it was fading. It seems to me that more people (especially college kids) are more Christian then ever.

also, the world will always need "faith" whatever that faith may be. People as a whole can't live without faith in something.

First, Christianity is not the only faith.

Second, as long as Hyman's exist, they will always find something to have faith in.

Third, did the world NEED faith in the first place? It can certainly help, but is it needed (like life or death needed)?

People just aren't able to generate meaning and purpose for their lives, by themselves. When they try, it winds up being either something totally selfish, or very limited and insignificant. Religious faith gives meaning to people's lives, and Christianity is the only one that gives adequate answers to the deep questions about the worth of human existence, the real difference between good and evil, the difference between Man and the inanimate, the origin of personality, and so forth.

In my lifetime I see the influence increasing not fading. There are more movies and books now about Christianity than 20 or 30 years ago.

Christianities influence isn't fading. The faith is growing at proportions not seen since the great revivals. Admittedly it's growth rate in the US has slowed some, but even here the number of new Christians increases every year.
There have at sundry times been dark spots as the Soviet Union was but Christianity never stopped growing in other parts of the world and now it is retuning in mass over there.

Even now there are dark spots caused by liberalism and the growth of Islam(promulgated by increased oil based wealth) but the tide will return to those spots also,

AMEN

No faith is the right faith
they all have there strengths and weaknesses
the trick is to find something YOU believe in and stick with it

Born and raised Catholic. But non-practicing
my faith is in a creator of some sort, but not scarilyRRileyyGod I was raised to belive in.

You could say i have faith in the unknown,
I have Faith in Faith itself

Christianity is not the only faith. In general, I would like to say no that the world will just turn to other faiths. However, I would like to point out that for the world to single out a faith (Christianity) to remove above all others, leads me to believe that it possess something a lot of people fear/dislike. We as a country don't hate the Muslim religion that attacked us as much as we hate Christianity. It has my curiosity up. But I must also add that the persecution of various religions has occur ed through out history.

Actually, Christianity is not fading, it is GROWING! It is pr oven that Christianity is the number one religion shown all over the world. Also the founders of the USA were Christians. Don't give up on your faith. Stand strong in the Lord and always look to him in hardships!

The bible quotes Jesus as saying, ( Only through me will you get to Heaven.) Not through Mohammed or Abba etc. Jews don't believe that Jesus was the Messiah. Yet they are God's chosen people. I believe that Christianity is the only real religion. Every one of us is given the same measure of faith. Faith is like a muscle. God puts us through trials to strengthen our faith. Read Hebrews 11, read how many times God says, "it was by faith..."

It means the people in the world are abandoning faith to their own ruin.

We all have faith in something. You can't avoid faith. An atheist actually has an abundance of faith. They believe there is no God contrary to all the evidence that exists in the world in which they live. What do you believe???
If you think the influence of Christ is diminishing then perhaps you should think again. More people are hearing the Word and coming to faith than ever before.
