Default Can Christianity be proved?

For instance, how can the resurrection of Jesus Christ be proved?

If it could be proved, the whole world would be Christian out of fear of going to hell. It can't be proved, though. And that is why so many Christians have to justify themselves in so many dramatic ways, and try to convert others to their side-so they feel justified in their beliefs even if they aren't backed up with truth.

PROOF for the existence of Christianity as a belief system is EVERYWHERE!!...Look at the number of churches.

Now, on the other hand, PROOVING that Jesus of Nazareth was the son of a virgin, and was the ' Son Of God', died on the cross in some fashion 'redeeming us' from our sins...THAT is purely a BELIEF SYSTEM and a matter of faith and personal convictions. After 2000+ years, PROOF would indeed be difficult to come by...

Well there is historical proof. There is more historical evidence for the life and existence of Jesus than for Alexander the great, Julius Ceasar, Plato, Aristotle, and Socrates.
However Christianity stands or falls on the resurrection. When the gospels were first written they were done in the lifetimes of those who were aware of the claims of Christ's resurrection, (the latest gospel was written about 90 AD). The gospels as well as many of the epistles make the claim that Jesus rose from the dead, some of them even claim that He was seen alive by over 500 witnesses. There are no refutations of these claims written during that same time period. Even secular historians such as Josephus and Tacitus wrote about Christianity and Jesus, and neither of them refutes the claim of the resurrection.
So to put it in context there is more evidence for Christianity than for many of the court cases that are resolved today.
However; as of yet, we still have no way to "Prove" the resurrection without a shadow of a doubt to skeptics and those who will not accept the historical record, thus Christianity becomes a matter of faith and a belief system, much as evolution, communism, socialism, or any other religion. People believe it based on the evidence they are aware of, or they believe based on their choice.
An evolutionist is no different, they believe in a hypothesis because they do not want to accept another explanation of human life. Evolution has not been completely "proved" it has a lot of holes and short comings, yet thousands continue to believe in it. It's really no different than Christianity, or any other religion. So to answer your question: "Can Christianity be proved?" The answer is yes... to some who look at the historical evidence, the archaeological evidence, the anthropological evidence, the evidence of changed lives, and other things. The answer is also no... to those who believe that such findings are inconclusive and inadequate, and who do not want to believe in a Creator and Sovereign Judge of the universe.
