The government became more tolerant of peoples beliefs and ideas also he helped form and teach one at any level in reading, math and Social Studies

It give them a population of literate people to be bureaucrats.

The focus on learning was adopted by the government, making an education essential to prospering in the country.

Confucianism focus on the family resulted in the wide spread use of collective punishments for acts seen as criminal. it was accepted that not only was it proper, but even desirable to punish not just an individual but their entire extended family for crimes.
