What do Confucianisms feel about this? I find Confucianism rather confusing, pun intended.

All of life is shades of gray. What is right in one instance is wrong in another. There are very few universal truths, most of life and the meanings it implies are a matter of circumstance and opinion.

Such as, is it OK to kill another human? Technically no, but if someone was trying to kill you or your family, you would be justified in defending yourself, even if it was lethal.

Everything is shades of gray.
