Confucianism is not a religion, it's a philosophy. It doesn't have a god. The religions of the time were predominantly Buddhism, and ancestor worship. I can't remember if Daoism was a religion or philosophy. I'm thinking the latter. If you really want to know more go to wiped.DOAey should have info on Confucianism and links to other related topics.
its not a religion
"a man who would give his life for all people without regard for race sex or anything would be the greatest virtue and i have never seen this virtue"
Confucius
para phased
the god is the greatest of great who made the whole earth and skies and outer planets who Create the living been and separated them into males and females who gave us water to drink gave us planet and food to eat the god who made this whole world ..his grace made your body with all the genes and the parts in it he made every little and big thing in this world...this what we call our great god
There is no god with Confucianism. The religion teaches people to be virtuous, live happy with the universe, meditate, work together for society, there is goodness in each one of us, and ancestor worship. The religion is more a way of life than worshiping God.
He's called A, "Shang Di". They don't say much about him since the whole practice of Confucianism is concerned with the conduct of daily life, but he is to be honored along with the ancestors. The concept and the name predated Confucius.
