Confucianism is all about being nice to people so they'll be nice to you and Hinduism is believing you have to do all this good stuff to get to nirvana--karma. crazy, right?!?! that's all i remember from last year.
Don't you have any books? There is so much material to cover, and I don't know how long your essay needs to be. I will certainly not give you a thesis statement, I have my own homework to do. Confucianism is classified as a religion, but it's more of a code of ethics. Confucius built it based first and foremost on the importance of family, a strong family unit was necessary to build a strong ethical neighborhood, which was necessary to build a strong, ethical community, which built the strong city, which built the country, and so on... Confucius was credited with coining the golden rule only he phrased it in the negative in order to be more comprehensive: "Do not do unto others that which you do not want done unto you." There's just so much more to it that I can't fit here, I don't write walls of text.
HInduism as far as ethics is said to be the most tolerant of religions, accepting all beliefs as part of the universal truth. They devised a caste system which originally was comprised of four castes, but over the centuries became bastardized and grew to over 2000. Castes had to do with the age of ones soul, and also assigned societal duties. Confucianism didn't deal with any deities, but Hinduism has a creator god Brahma, and he is impersonal but interacts with man through avatars, primarily Shiva the destroyer and the fertility god, and Vishnu the benevolent god. There are thousands of other avatars as well. Other than this you're on your own. I hope I at least pointed you in a direction.
