Confucianism was developed from the teachings of the Confucius, who was a Chinese philosopher in the 6Th and 5Th century BC.

Confucius was also known as Kong Qiu or K?ng F?z? or K'ung-FY-tzu, which means "Master Kong".

He lived from 551?478 BC.

Although his teaching are of course the origin of Confucianism, the philosophy of Confuciaism has been studied and developed my many others ever since. But yes, he can be credited with "inventing" it.
