Atheists and Christians, what are your opinions on Confucianism?

for any who don't know, Confucianism is a Chinese belief that is classified as a religion, but has know real god (per SE, a small population believe Confucius to be divine, but most believe he's just a man). In essence, Confucianism is a set of moral ideas rather than an actual religion. So I'd like to hear peoples opinions on it.

So it's a philosophy. Probably makes more sense than most religions also.

Don't know much about it, but as long as it doesn't conflict with my beliefs I have no problem with it. I'm sure there are some redeeming qualities about it (maybe some good Confucians proverbs that we all should live by).

I read about Confucianism in a Leadership Class Im in and it's not a religion but rather a set of political and moral ideas of government..he didn't raise from the dead and he didn't die for my sins. Jesus did

Why are you asking those intolerant and ignorant Christians. You know they hate everyone but those that agree with them.

Yes it is overwhelming, but why would you ask two opposing belief systems the same question which neither of them are guaranteed to know about? What makes you think atheists or Christians would know anything about Confucianism? I think you're asking the wrong group of people.

I'm sort of agnostic at the moment, but religion is simply a system of control, so it is not much different except those who practice Confucianism are usually more devout to the practice and they know that when they die, they die and that's it. not like other religions that promises eternal life for being good like some sort of reward, they are good because they know that it will create a better environment for others which is all you can really do, live and enjoy

It's one man's thoughts that have no real backing. I agree with most of the rules, but it again, it doesn't claim to come from anywhere except Confucius's head.
