Is confucianism a religion or a belief?

I'm a freshman and i have to do a report on this religion/belief. If you guys could give me some of your opinions or a really good website on it that would be amazing. Thanks!

i just remembered that it was a belief in China many years ago...our teacher said that it is Confucius who propagated the is belief...because Confucius believed that in this world, there is yin yang or good and bad...he propagated this belief to let people do their work with happiness and live with their religions peacefully..
