What are your thoughts on borderline religions -- Confucianism, for example?

Would you regard it as a religion or as a philosophy, due to its lack of statements in regards to the supernatural? Or Buddhism (which. depending on how you interpret it), strips the world of the supernatural events/entities also?

Are these really "religions"?

I would lean more toward them being considered as a philosophy. Religions typically believe in a higher power.

Ahhhhh-Confucius say, "All religions are bunk."

I regard it as whatever the people practicing it want it to be. I don't want to offend by calling it a religion if the majority think it's a philosophy, or vice verse. It's up to them, not me.
