I'm afraid I see mostly differences. Christianity didn't gain political authority in Rome until 300 years after the unification of the Empire. Confucius lived before the first emperor unified China during the five warring states period. Confucian influence on the government bureaucracy may have been exceptional, but it's influence on the common people seems minimal. The reverse seems true of the early church, high ranking bureaucrats may have been nominally Christian, but they still served the state primarily.
