Default What are some good books on ancient European Druidism?

I'm agnostic, but Druidism is of interest to me. What are some good books on Druidism that focus specifically on Druidism instead of Paganism in general?

Because the Celts were essentially non-literate, we really don't know very much about what the ancient Druids were actually doing. But one of the best sources we have is the Caith Maigh Tiureadh, and one of the most useful translations of it is The Irish Celtic Magical Tradition by Steve Blamires.

There is little known about the real Druidism. They left no written records. All that is really known is what was written by Romans like Ceasar. The modern Druidism is reconstructed.

There is a paucity of information on the ancient Druids.

Actually the only historical accounts of them are a couple of very, very brief passages in books by a handful of ancient Greek and Roman writers. The most famous is by Julius Caesar who mentions them in a description of his war campaign against the Gauls.

Not enough information in total even to fill a page.

Everything else is modern-day fabrication. Its rather disappointing, I know.

The late Professor Stuart Piggot wrote a book on the druids.
