Yes - and thank goodness it's been almost eradicated! Don't want them hippies going around anymore...it's UN Christian to believe in stuff like nature.

No form of paganism is evil. The ancient druids did practice animal sacrifice, but so did the Christians of the time.

answer: No. It revered nature and taught people how to live in harmony with it. They were also the teachers of their culture.

Very few religions have proved themselves as "evil"

There are so many misunderstandings about the early religions. Many of these Prue-date Jesus Christ, and more post-date him.

People follow what they believe to be true because it is what they are taught, or what they learn on their own. So many Wiccan's were burned in Europe because of a connection with the earth and the ability to heal -- yet, it was their gift with herbs and such that taught others who kept silent about what they knew. None of it was against the Lord... whom they may not have even heard about.

That is not to say there were not evil teachers who also had power over others. There was virtually no education, except religious or for the rich.

Were the various islanders pagans or evil because no one had been to their lands to teach them about the Lord? Don't you think God knew this would happen, and that he may have provided the truth to them on their own, or prepared them for it when it arrived.

I thank God I am not a judge.
