I suggest you find a bible Church-which does not claim to be answerable to any organization but the bible. for me I like Messianic Jewish-Friday eve services with Jesus the center, and Evangelical bible churches non denominational.
and the way to know is they teach sharing Jesus=witnessing
this is how I came to salvation in Jesus=know the Jesus who offers heaven instead of torment forever in hell weeping wailing and gnashing teeth forever for rejecting the salvation Jesus offers=Matthew chapter 12 and Revelations 19-22 the agony of hell and the joy of heaven described, along with the sowing of the sad of the Word of God. This is how I learned the easy way=
Jesus is the unique only begotten son of God, John 3:16 who loves us unconditionally.
truth in the Messiah =He knocks on every heart-to come in and deliver even from one lie and be our personal Messiah, savior and best friend. Revelation 3:19&20
he was predicted all the way back to Adam and Eve Genesis 3:15 chapter 3 verse 15
and 700 years before he came perfectly predicted=
Isaiah 52:13-53:12 "All we like sheep have gone astray. He will lay down his life as a lamb to make atonement for our sins."
Isaiah 9:6 "Unto you a child will be born, a Son is given, and he is almighty God, the prince of peace." Jesus is God-
free will in salvation is the offer of the Messiah Jesus for our soul to us, yet all in his knowledge=Life is offered -yet death and passing to everlasting life in hell and heaven is a reality too.
Do not condemn a doctor for offering you the cure for the disease that would kill you! Jesus paid the ultimate price to die for our sins, so we can believe-had these Scriptures Revelation 3:19&20 Salvation & chapters 19-22 of death and hell, been given without the offer of his salvation and the joy of heaven life and death would be hopeless.
Messiah Jesus is my savior and best friend, and that helps me to share his salvation that others may believe too, and be rescued as I was from the judgment to hell.
John 3= repented of sin and got born again, asking him into my heart to be my friend, amen.
I prayed "Jesus I am sorry for my sins, come into my heart and be my friend, help me, amen."
He said "I love you and knock on your heart door to come in, deliver from sin when you repent (-even of one lie), and ask me in to be your friend." Revelation 3:19&20
what an honor and joy to know Jesus , now my Messiah and best friend. Chose a good Church where you feel comfortable that exalts Jesus and his salvation.
Neither one. Both are fragmented remnants/break-offs of the original Christian church. You need to learn about the Church of Jesus Christ that has been fully restored in its original form.
Find a church that teaches Christianity. I don't believe in the different religions. I am a Christian....pure and simple. I believe in what the Bible tells me. I believe Jesus died for my sins. I believe that if you ask Jesus to forgive you for your sins, He will. The church I go to is not affiliated with any religion. The preacher does not tell me I am wrong for smoking or getting a divorce. Some churches don't believe in divorce. The way I look at it....God wants me to be happy. If my spouse leaves me, what am I supposed to do? The new testament takes place after Jesus walked on this earth. It somewhat overrides the old testament. We now have a chance to be saved and be forgiven. Good luck and God bless.
The Eastern Orthodox Church is not a single church but rather a family of 13 self-governing bodies, denominated by the nation in which they are located (e.g., the Greek Orthodox Church, Russian Orthodox Church, etc.). They are united in their understanding of the sacraments, doctrine, liturgy, and church government, but each administers its own affairs.
The head of each Orthodox church is called a "patriarch" or "metropolitan." The patriarch of Constantinople (Istanbul, Turkey) is considered the "ecumenical," or universal, patriarch. He is the closest thing to a counterpart to the Pope in the Roman Catholic Church. Unlike the Pope, who is known as VICARIUS FILIUS DEI (the vicar of the Son of God), the bishop of Constantinople is known as PRIMUS INTER PARES (the first amongst equals). He enjoys special honor, but he has no power to interfere with the 12 other Orthodox communions.
The Orthodox Church claims to be the one true church of Christ, and seeks to trace its origin back to the original apostles through an unbroken chain of apostolic succession. Orthodox thinkers debate the spiritual status of Roman Catholics and Protestants, and a few still consider them heretics. Like Catholics and Protestants, however, Orthodox believers affirm the Trinity, the Bible as the Word of God, Jesus as God the Son, and many other Biblical doctrines. However, in doctrine, they have much more in common with Roman Catholics than they do Protestant believers.
The doctrine of justification by faith is virtually absent from the history and theology of Orthodoxy. Rather, Orthodoxy emphasizes thesis (literally, "divination"), the gradual process by which Christians become more and more like Christ. What many in the Orthodox tradition fail to understand is that ?divination? is the progressive result of salvation?not a requirement for salvation itself. Other Orthodox distinctive that are in conflict with the Bible include:
The equal authority of church tradition and Scripture
Discouragement of individuals interpreting the Bible apart from tradition
The perpetual virginity of Mary
Prayer for the dead
Baptism of infants w/o reference to individual responsibility and faith
The possibility of salvation after death
The possibility of losing salvation
While the Eastern Orthodox Church has claimed some of the church's great voices, and while there are many of the Orthodox tradition that have a genuine salvation relationship with Jesus Christ; the Orthodox church itself do not speak with a clear message that can be harmonized with the Biblical Gospel of Christ. The clarion call of the Reformers for "Scripture Alone, Faith Alone, Grace Alone, and Christ Alone" is missing in this branch of Christendom, and that is too precious a treasure to do without.

You're going to need to identify (and codify) what both "correct doctrine" and "Protestant" mean to YOU.
The Eastern Orthodox church, as I noted in one of your earlier questions on the subject, certainly has history and apostolic succession on its side; if I were interested in sanity rather than heathery, it'd be my pick based solely on ONE Greek Orthodox professor whose lecture series on their beliefs I attended. *shrug*
But "Protestant" covers a wide, wide range of conflicting doctrine, even with the mainline expressions (Methodist, Lutheran, Presbyterian, Baptist and so forth). When you get off the main track and off among the Pentecostals and apocalyptic sects and such, things get even weirder and more contradictory.
Before you know it, you're up in the Ozarks handling snakes in church.
