Default Will the orthodox ( eastern ) churches ever reunite with the latin rite church?

partial unity is better than none at all, I suppose.

You have to realize that aside from the myriad of philosophical and ritualistic differences, there is the major practical question of who is in charge of the real estate and other assets. So while there may be an active ecumenical movement, I find a re-unification of the Orthodox or of the protestant churches, highly unlikely.

They have regular conventions and are no longer opposing each other. That's a good development for commonality.
