I'm Orthodox and I am unfamiliar with the term novenas.
However in every liturgy there is a hymn to the Blessev virgin or Theodor's.
we don't say the rosary but the angelica salutations is found in Orthodoxy

You mean Orthodox and Catholic, right? Because the church is not Roman. Roman is simply a rite. There are over 20 rites in the Catholic church - including Eastern rites. Byzantines, for instance, are under the umbrella of the Holy See.

Novenas to the best of my knowledge are a product of the Western rites. But the Blessed Mother is beloved of all Catholics, including those outside the Holy See.
