Default Spirituall Curious: Who is the "original" Christian church, the Roman Catholics or Ea

I am neither but I am curious because Roman Catholics claim that their church is the true one started directly by Jesus but the Eastern Orthodox claim to be older and closer to the source. Also, what about the Christian churches and communities in places like Ethiopia and Egypt who have been there before the schisms that divided Eastern and Western Christianity?

I am not claiming things either way and I don't want to cause fights between Catholics and Orthodox, I am just curious. Aren't you guys all part of the same "Body of Christ" anyway?
The older denominations have this epic vibe....I wish that modern Evangelicals had a big mystical, ancient, epic vibe....

Catholicism. The original church was established similar to the Jewish order. High Priest (pope) and others (cardinals and representatives of the Christian regions of the world, mainly Europe, Asia and Africa.
Coptics I believe were the first to separate.

The RCC was the original church from which the Eastern Orthodox split.

Neither is the "original" church. The original church started in Jerusalem on the Day of Pentecost. The gospel message was preached in an every widening circle as the Lord Jesus had commanded.

Acts 1:6 Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, "Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?" 7 And He said to them, "It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. 8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

God only has one church and while people may meet at church "buildings" the "church" is the spiritual body of Christ composed of all born again believers.

Romans 8:9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.

Ephesians 2:17 And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. 18 For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father. 19 Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, 22 in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

At one point, there wasn't a difference because both were the Catholic (Universal) or "Orthodox" Church. Western Christianity (Catholics) excommunicated the current Orthodox Church.

The first UNIFIED church was the Roman Catholic, but it was only established in the fourth century under Constantine. But there were many Christian churches before that.

Strictly speaking, a church's(or individuals) belief and teaching on the Biblical doctrine of Justification determines its legitimately being called Christian, hence the Reformation.
