Am I officially Catholic, I have attended mass several times but I shy to receive communion in front of all the people I get stage fright, am I catholic anyway or do I have to intake that pellet that symbolizes Christ. The church however began draining me for money right after I signed up so I was wandering if i can go to "catholic heaven" even though I did not receive the communion pellet. I mean what if I die and not get a chance to receive communion, am I doomed to hell???? In other words, can I go to heaven without receiving communion?
I mean receiving the white pellet symbolizing bread as body of Christ?
I will most certainly attend mass again and attempt to receive communion once I have convenient time to do so.
The orthodox are baptized, and the priest sad that orthodox baptism is valid. However I have OCD, I don't believe him, I think that I won't be allowed into catholic heaven but rather orthodox heaven, I WANT TO GO TO CATHOLIC HEAVEN NOT ORTHODOX HEAVEN since I assume heaven is not the same for all christian churches
this is outrageous, I have to go to church every Sunday for a year Justis to be allowed to take that white pellet, I am an engineer, I must work, does the catholic church not realize that engineers are necessary to keep the food they eat and material they use for building their churches necessary. Do they damn engineers to hell? Logically speaking engineers would stop working and put an end to the economy and catholic church itself. I would prefer a priest come to my house and bring me the communion pellet since I have no time nor energy to go to church.

In other words, I pay money I go to heaven automatically while having no sins anyway as per 16Th century where they payed money for sins. Otherwise, I will expect my money back if I don't wind up in "Catholic" heaven. Furthermore, US was maid by protestants trying to save themselves from the king, and the notion that the Catholic church has a pope is a bit Monarchy implying to me. So Catholics shall be banned from US for not believing in God but in the pope as the monarch where democracy is contradicted. I think now the church should definitely make part of the communion, or else US will excommunicate the catholic church for being contrary to freedom and democracy.

The bloody pope is a monarch because the pope does not receive communion but rather gives it to the rest of the catholic adherents, I guess I am now a candidate for being the next Catholic pope unless I receive communion to be under their observation of thought. Now I see how this works. Ok elect me as your next pope Catholics or say goodbuy to having a foothold in United States of America. Or even better, excommunicate me without being in communion in the first place, so I receive the pellet for nothing

A. no you have to be baptized

B. You have to get past using the word "symbolizing" they think it IS the body of Christ

Your faith is a personal matter. Do not worry about other people opinion. Orthodox or Catholic, you do not need to take communion if you are pure in your heart. Bless.

You are aware that Eastern Orthodox and Catholic Church are in FULL Communion.

Which means you can choose to go to either churches


PS It's not "pellets" it's the bread and wine (body and blood)


As a Catholic you should receive Communion (as per Jesus' word: "Do this in memory of me")

...FYI, the Orthodox church does not recognize the Pope as head of the church, and is not in full communion with it. The split between Catholic and orthodox occurred in 1054.

Ive been in catholics churches & i have to admit they do tend to try & get money out of u. Im not saying all are like this but i visited a chapel in NY & i was charged 2 dollars for lighting a candle !!


It says in the bible God loves a cheerful giver, but this can be whatever u want, U should never feel pressured. The Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholics are NOT in in communion with each other (unless you were a member of an Eastern Catholic church that IS in communion with them), so you'd have to go through RCIA to be able to receive Communion. And Catholics don't call them pellets... they're called hosts.
