If the Saint died before 1054 s/he should be recognized by both Churches.

My Orthodox priest is named after St. Patrick.

I think so. A Roman Catholic is allowed to attend the services of the Orthodox Church. They do believe in almost all of the beliefs. The only differences are mainly in the mass itself, some of the traditions, and they don't believe in Mariology as heavily as Catholic do, though they recognize Mary as the Mother of God, I think.

Do you mean be confirmed in the Orthodox Church? If so, no. Neither church would allow it. If you mean choose a saint of the orthodox Church as your patron saint, yes. All the saints the Orthodox venerate were Catholics. When they lived, there was no such thing as the Orthodox Church.

The question can be taken as if you want to be confirmed as a Roman Catholic, but in an Orthodox Church. No. For one thing, Orthodox don't have "confirmation". The closest thing as an adult conversion -- and then you'd be Orthodox.

If you mean can you use an Orthodox saint's name in your Roman Catholic confirmation, then yes, most likely, since most Orthodox saint names are from the period when the churches were united. It will depend on the name, though. A Greek name will more likely pass muster than a Slavic name.

Ask your priest! No surprises at confirmation.
