Default Which Church is in the right ... the Roman Catholic Church or the Eastern Orthodox Ch

The Roman Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox Church used to be one and the same Church for the first 1,000 years of Christianity.

Then there was the Great Schism in the year 1054.

There was a dispute between the West (Latin Church) and the East (Greek Church) over the authority of the Bishop of Rome.

The Latin Church in the West claimed that it has always been believed that the Bishop of Rome has universal jurisdiction over all other bishops.

The Greek Church in the East claimed that it has always been believed that the Bishop of Rome has primacy of honor and that he was only first among equals.

There are other differences between the East and West, such as the doctrines concerning purgatory, original sin, and the Immaculate Conception.

Which church is in the right?

The Southern Water Tribe.

People are easily influenced by illusions, signs, experiences, and fantasies that are a socially acceptable means to acquire more attention of potential friends.
And they base their Logic of Truth off of such BS.

Finding Truth:
In the Kalama Sutra, Buddha says.
Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it..
Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many.
Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books.
Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders.
Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations.

But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.

I think we need to get our heads out of our a** and follow the Bible! what it says is what we should do, never will we always follow its rules, aka we will sin, but if we have the essentials down( belief that Jesus is Gods son and our Savior) than none of the other stuff should really matter.

Which group is the proper individual? That is really a good question. This is why the Ark, as described in literature, could not have survived. The materials would not have stood up to the stresses involved. It actually would take a miracle to overthrow physics and keep it together, just as it would have required a miracle to overthrow human nature and maintain a coherent church. They are wrong. We are wrong. It is all wrong. That's just how it is. Surely that is not too deep a lesson.

Jesus Christ divinely founded and structured the Church, and he personally established the holy office, with a supreme earthly leader, who we (today) call "Pope".

Only the Pope was given the Keys to the Kingdom of Heaven, and only the Pope was given the awesome power of binding and loosing, on earth and in heaven ... by Jesus Christ ... while he still walked the earth.

The "primacy of honor" rhetoric is just political double speak for "don't tell us what to do!"

As for the doctrinal differences ... some of them matter a lot. Some less so. All are important, in some way.

That's why you need a Pope. To make a final decision.

Without that, you have a modern day Tower of Babel. Not authentic, original Christianity.

Christianity has been split into over 38,000 different denominations, sects and cults setting christian against christian and Christians against everyone else!

God's work? Hardly!

It must be the Devil and the Antichrist working together to divide, conquer and destroy Christianity from the inside!
