There are by far more parallels between the Orthodox churches and the Catholic church than the protestant traditions.

Orthodox and Catholic churches both do infant baptism, communion and confirmation. In fact the Catholic church permits those of Orthodox church to take communion with the Catholic community, which is not extended to any protestants.

i have been in all three churches.

Russian Orthodox, Protestant and Catholic Churches...

i have found that the commonality between any true church is the teachings of Christ. granted there are some doctrinal issues as well as traditional factors to consider... but when the love of Christ is present... the Church has the incense of the LORD.

praise be to our LORD.
salaams...

Both has a devotion to Christ. That's the major thing.

The Eastern Orthodox and Eastern Catholic faiths are practically the same, except over the supremacy of the Pope of Rome over other Bishops. And the Philoque Clause, which states that the HOLY SPIRIT comes both the God the Father and the Son, instead of just the Father.

I cannot speak on the the differences in the protestant churches as I have not studied them extensively. Any difference between the Catholic and Protestant would be the same for the Protestant and Orthodox churches.
