Default Should "Hagia Sophia" be returned to the Eastern Orthodox Church?

Hagia Sophia (Church of Holy Wisdom), now known as the Ayasofya Museum, is a former Eastern Orthodox church converted to a mosque in 1453, converted into a museum in 1935, in the Turkish city of Istanbul.
Should the return of Hagia Sophia to the Orthodox Christian religion be a condition of Turkey's entry into the European Union.

The church is on Turkish territory, and should be completely Turkish. The Turks, if they returned ownership to anyone else, could bar anyone access to the church. In wars, whatever was owned by the loose rs of the war becomes 'spoils of war ' and is now the property of the victors.
Can you imagine the confusion if churches and historical buildings all over the world were owned by foreign governments?
In Arizona there is a beautiful church named San Xavier Del Bac. Should we turn ownership with unlimited access to Mexico ?If we did, Spain would immediately claim it because it was built when Mexico was a colony of Spain .
Don't even think of Th Alhambra in Spain. It was built by the Muslims. Who should have ownership of it now ?

Hagia Sophia was conquered legitimately by the predecessors of modern Turkey - they are entitled to keep the spoils of war without relinquishing it as a condition for entry in the European Union.

Let the bygones be bygones. Turkey has no one in congress and gets more things done than the Greeks who have 10-20 people in Congress - I wonder why?

There is no religion in the EU - the Patriarch can always relocate to the Greek Embassy or some other suitable location in DC where Freedom of Religion will protect him.

Of course not! It was converted to a mosque long time ago, and Ottoman Empire added lots to it too. Today it's not only a symbol of Christianity but also Islam. Plus, I would never want it to be a place where people (from any religion) can go and worship . It's a great historical building and it should stay as a museum.

And a condition for entry to EU, oh come on that's so stupid. What else? Will you also ask for us to wipe your asses?
