Default switching from Eastern Orthodox to Protestant Church? Are they more similar then East

church? what about these American churches such as Moravian church, United Methodist?? Are they similar to Protestant church
I thought that Protestant church is against catholic church and that it is more similar to Orthodox in terms of belief in god rather than salvation through receiving pardons from catholic church for money

Catholic and orthodox are false religions. Catholicism and orthodox are not Christian. Catholicism and orthodox cannot get anyone into heaven, because Catholicism and orthodox teach works for salvation, and that is a false gospel of works (Galatians 1:6-9) that is against JESUS'S free gift of salvation!

And Catholicism and orthodox will not give you a PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP with Jesus, which is what JESUS wants with you!

So, you need to get away from Catholicism and orthodox, and instead, to believe in JESUS for His free gift of eternal life in heaven! John 3:16! !

Jesus is God, and Jesus loves you so very much! And the Trinity is true!

The truth about Jesus is that the only way to be saved and to get into heaven and avoid being sent to hell, is by believing in JESUS for His free gift of eternal life in heaven, believing in faith alone that Jesus, who is God, died on the cross for all our sins as FULL PAYMENT for all our sins, and then Jesus rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe in Jesus for His free gift of salvation, and you will be in heaven, no matter what!

Salvation is a FREE GIFT that happens in a split second when you believe in JESUS for His free gift of salvation! It is impossible to lose or "leave" salvation (John 6:39-40, John 10:28, 1 John 5:13).

Please pray now: "Jesus, I believe that You died on the cross to pay for my sins and that You rose from the dead, and I thank You for eternal life!" You will be in heaven with Him forever when you die!

Switching from heaven to hell?

I like when the person asks the question, and then answers it himself....

DAVID cough cough..

No one in their right mind would ever switch from Eastern Orthodoxy to Protestantism.

Eastern Orthodox is most similar to Eastern Catholic. The Protestant church is completely different. The main similarities between the Moravian Church and the Eastern Churches (both Orthodox and Catholic) is the Middle European heritage they share.

You give no reason and i can think of no good reason to become Protestant. I personally believe if your really a Eastern Orthodox that you will find Protestant services boring and you will be unable to receive the Body and Blood of Jesus as they do not believe it is his real literal body and blood, then there is the confession problem as they do not believe in confessing to a Priest ,only confessing to God and not the Priest. I could go on as it depends on which of the 30,000 different kind of Protestant Churches you join but they will re-Baptize you depending which group you end up with. Ask your self did Christ found 30,000 different beliefs or just one Church.

There is no "Protestant Church" per SE -- Protestant is a classification of any Christian denomination which is not Catholic (which includes Orthodoxy) It is a Catholic term to describe non-Catholic Christians.

There are over 33,000 registered "protestant" churches within the U.S. according to IRS estimates.
So which of these 33,000 Churches or denominations are you inquiring about?

Seems pretty nebulous if you don't know what you are leaving well enough to know if what you are thinking of joining matches very closely with what you are leaving.

If you knew your Orthodox faith well, It should be easy for you to know if various Protestant denominations are close to Orthodox beliefs or not.

I don't believe in a person "shopping around" for churches like that. There is a term for that.. it's called "Consumer Christianity" - those which shop around for the best deal.. the church that best matches THEIR beliefs, rather than the other way around.

?I thought that Protestant church is against catholic church?
Yes, sort of. Most protestant churches today get along with the Catholic church.
?and that it is more similar to Orthodox in terms of belief in god?
Catholics are way more similar to the Eastern Orthodox churches than Protestants. Eastern Catholics are the most like Orthodox.
?rather than salvation through receiving pardons from catholic church for money?
That hasn't been done in 500 years, and even then it wasn't an official teaching.
