Eastern Orthodoxy , Protestantism and Catholicism are all branches of Christianity. Eastern Othodox is the most strict of mainstream Christian traditions and demands the most observance. It kept some traditions that the Catholics have abolished. The Orthodox split from the Catholics mainly because of Rome's claim to supreme authority. The Orthodox have their own separate authorities in every country , while all the Roman Catholic churches are all in communion with Rome. There are also some other Catholic Churches (like Greek Catholic) , which are Catholic traditions NOT in communion with the Sees of Rome.
The Protestants demand least observance from the three branches, from what I understand. Protestantism split from Catholicism in the Protestant Reformation. Basically it is like Reformed Catholicism. (With some changes made).
