Default Why does the eastern orthodox christian churches have no history of bloodshed?

The western churches like the Roman Catholic church have a horrible history of corruption, crusades, inquisitions and witch burnings. Why is it that the eastern orthodox church which is older and much closer ti the original church of Christ have no history of bloodshed?
KindaSorta: you have not given me any example of a bloody war or crime that was commit ed by the Eastern Orthodox church...
What exactly did they do in Russia?

no need because they lived in peace with Muslim world closer than Roman Catholic church

Roman Catholic church was and is centralized with head The Pope enabling them to mass attack and Orthodox churches are by themselves

Wrong on both counts.

1) You are taking your facts from the enemies of the Church. Shame on you.
Let's take that Inquisition. If you have even a shred of honesty and scholarship in your body, you know that you have argued the exact OPPOSITE point to the truth.

On June 9Th, 1995, the BBC documentary, <The Myth of the Spanish Inquisition> was aired and since then there has been no excuse for what you say. None at all.

"A most important point made by the Spanish scholars is that the inquisitional courts of the Church were both more just and more anent than civil courts and religious courts elsewhere in Europe at the time. Prisoners in Spanish secular courts, knowing this would sometimes blaspheme in order to be sent to the courts of the Inquisition where conditions were better. "

Get this
Why Apologize for the Spanish Inquisition?
CODE: MJ-010*
Price: $5.95
Author: Frs. Duran & Vota M.J.

"Astounding enough, in 1994 the British Broadcasting Company came out with an unbiased documentary entitled: The Myth of the Spanish Inquisition. The admissions, coming across the air waves of this apostate nation, astounded viewers, and the priests from Miles Jesu make good use of them in their monogram. Totally obliterated is the notion that thousands of innocent people were being cruelly tortured and killed by sadistic ecclesiastical inquisitors. Other anti-Catholic fabrications are confronted and buried with an abundance of documented information of which Catholics can be proud and bigots confounded. This monogram is an excellent reference source for Catholics (and open-minded Protestants) who want to know the truth about the Spanish Inquisition."

2) The orthodox caused untold suffering in Russia by the collaboration that you extol. Shame on you again.

What you describe fits more in the pattern of politics than religion

Corruption happens everywhere. Crusades, politics and kings' greed

Inquisition, at least the Spanish one had no authority to punish anyone

I think it's more of a case of us here in the West being more aware of Western history than Eastern history. That's why we are so much more aware of Hitler's genocide against the Jews than Stalin's genocide against the Ukrainians. Many Westerners aren't even aware of the EXISTENCE of the Eastern Orthodox, let alone their history. Anyway, scroll down to "Bosnia Herzegovina" and "Kosovo":
