i live very close to an ECKANKAR. Is this a cult?

it creeps me way out. I strongly believe in Christianity and i have a feeling that the TEMPLE OF ECK is extremely anti-Christ, pagan, and flat out insane

is it a cult? just wondering...others say it is just another religion similar to Buddhism

i live like right next door to the main temple thingy.
well i doubt that you wouldn't be creep ed out if you heard thousands of stories about the place....most of them, yes, are probably rumors though
BUT wake up on a nice morning to see and hear thousands of families chant "Hu" for like an hour while they all walk down a trail like in your backyard..
i am not an arrogant christian, but merely a concerned for a friend of mine who goes there

all i wanted to know is the general opinion about this ECK stuff, not the general opinion about CHRISTIANITY

What business is it of yours? Others aren't obliged to stop practicing their religion simply because it offends you.

If your ask me, a Christian has no right to call anyone Else's religion insane. Christianity is no less ridiculous than any other religion.

If you are feel so threatened by the mere fact that there are others who do not believe is you do, I doubt that your faith is very strong.

I very briefly looked over the website. It does seem cult-sh, but it doesn't appear to be "anti-Christ" nor "pagan". I wouldn't worry about your immediate safety. They don't seem to be violent.

I wouldn't let it creep you out. All people want to find ultimate relevance. Different people do it in different ways.

ECKANKAR is a New Age religion, definitely not Christian.
