What"s this religion called Eckankar?

Founded by someone named Paul Twitchell apparently.
Is it another one of these cults?

It's a cult for sure. I don't know much about it, but I do know it's not good. My ex boyfriend's brother committed suicide in a car in his garage with this cankerARuy's face plastered to the windshield. His other brother continued to follow this cult, even though this happened to his brother. I've never really did any research on it, but I think I will, just to find out what the deal is with it.
