Soul Travel has a very broad meaning. It is not simply about Soul leaving the physical body and entering into immaterial worlds. Soul Travel also occurs while the Soul is still in the physical body. It can arise when one is a asleep or when one is awake. It may even occur when you are calculating the monthly profit your business has made! Soul Travel is an expansion of awareness. Awareness of what? Awareness of your self as a child of God; awareness of the love that God pours at you every moment of your life; awareness of the love other people (whether they are Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Atheist, Satanists) receive from God. Soul Travel may arise in the form of an unexpected idea, solution, or a thought about something you have overlooked or forgotten. Therefore, Soul Travel is essentially your inner guide to life and it's problems. Miracles happen, and they are a form of Soul Travel too. I am not saying you can jump to the top of the Eiffel Tower! What i mean is - a problem gets solved miraculously, or an idea appears to you out of no-where (simply by intuition) that changes your life's course for the better! Soul Travel, therefore, may appear as inner guidance - from the Divine One.
You do not have to be an Eckist in order to Soul Travel, because we all do, just in different degrees. In Eckankar, we learn to thank God and appreciate His help, help we sometimes get through Soul Travel. And of course, traveling in the Soul body to heavenly worlds, is indeed one form of Soul Travel. This may happen while you are asleep (in a dream that is simply too real), or while you are meditating, or when you are calculating your business's monthly profit. Take Care!
