Not Agnosticism. Gnosticism. Tell me what you know about it, think about it, etc. If you know nothing. Look it up. It's incredible.
Haha, no dude. It's not Satanism. You obviously know nothing about it. Please click "edit" on your answer and tell me the verse in the bible which refers to gnosticism in this way. Because I'd absolutely love to read it.
Etymologically = The opposite of agnostic. To have knowledge
Generally = The belief spiritual knowledge comes from within the body or soul or self or whatever.
Christian Gnosticism = One of the popular Christian movements in the first century that was phased out by the more popular movement influenced by Paul of Tarsus.
Ive actually read a fair amount about it.
Its actually pretty schizophrenic.
I feel that it has some undeniable similarities to the cult of Pythagoras.
It might be the signal of the beginning of specialization, where esoteric knowledge alone might demand belief for some...the harder something is to understand the more you suspend your disbelief sort of thing...you know?
It is a strange religion that can be described as "polytheistic Christian," if that could exist.
Salvation, to them, requires Gnosis, which is knowledge, about certain things.
I don't know too much more though.
I checked it out about six months ago.I've been fascinated by religions since college, which was many years ago. Lil.It's interesting.Of course Christians will say it's satanism and assorted other garbage.Which is why I'm not a christian. Lil
Gnosticism is the most fascinating religion that man could devise ... using select parts and pieces of the truth ... and then adding fanciful myths and magic.
Tantalizingly logical, yet almost totally untrue.
Kind of like an early Harry Potter that goes in and out of style, over and over again.
There's really nothing else like that gnostic collection of "secret" knowledge of the esoteric and occult ... even though it's mostly bogus.
