Default Any one else a Gnostic, or anyone interested in real Gnosticism?

Just wanted to know if there are any other Gnostic's or what have you around?
Actually Doug, that isn't Gnosticism at all. Everyone has a higher soul self, a divine spiritual nature that is not of this world. They identified this with being a parcel of God. Since everyone has this, then everyone has opportunity to direct acquaintance with God. Gnosis is knowledge derived through experiential knowledge. In this all man has access, it is just many are mechanical and only operate from the part of mind that is organic and controlled. These people in gnostic terms are under the control of the God of this world, and being within a defiled body that limits and under the force of this world which acts like gravity upon the mind. Only nosies can free one, through them actively living what they know continuously, to gain a greater capacity of nosies. So they labeled some who were purer physical in mind, some mental, and others spiritual. Physical people have a divine self that they can know, it's just they are inhibited by their own selves. They rise above that state.
Jesus said, "If your leaders say to you, 'Look, the (Father's) kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, 'It is in the sea,' then the fish will precede you. Rather, the (Father's) kingdom is within you and it is outside you.

When you know yourselves, then you will be known, and you will understand that you are children of the living Father. But if you do not know yourselves, then you live in poverty, and you are the poverty."

111. Jesus said, "The heavens and the earth will roll up in your presence, and whoever is living from the living one will not see death."

Does not Jesus say, "Those who have found themselves, of them the world is not worthy"?

I am currently reading about the original Xian's which were actually Gnostics and how the Literalists took over and the true meanings of the myths was lost. It is very interesting reading.

I've come to feel that I'm Gnostic, I've never believed as any other religion believes.

I believe in being open minded and intelligent, I do believe in Christ but I don't believe or trust the church.
I believe God lives within me and I don't have to seek him because he is always here.

I'd like to read the Gnostic Gospels and see if they believe as I do, I feel like I'm very similar to them.

As I understand gnosticism to represent a belief system that holds to special knowledge revealed only to some and not available to all, it seems to contradict the concept of "Grace" available to all who will ask for it.

I take "Grace" thank you.

Very good Passerby. Be as you are. The world is full of believers. And few Bowers {Gnostics}. To be a know er is to live in life - truth {same thing}. As a fellow Gnostic said 'narrow is the gate'. Maybe believers like to follow the herd & be a victim, you know, blame some one for there troubles & depend upon some one else to save them.
