Hare Krishna is a movement based on the Gaudiya Vaishnava Philosophy of Sanatana Dharma. Hare Krishna movement is the same thing as Gaudiya Vaishnavism. It was brought over here by Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. He wrote many books on the subject and was a devotee of Sri Krsna.
