Default what is the difference between SIHKISM and HINDUISM?

I have friends who are both believe it or not. The husband is Hindu the wife is SIHK.The child goes between the two religions and I am wondering if there is a difference or if it is the same.

They're both VERY VERY different. Just like Judaism and Christianity. Although they come from the same region, they're two completely different religions. Here are a couple of links that might help you out

Though there are some principle differences about idol worship, they can exist in harmony and so do the couple as the both religions belong to India and they share several festivals and very close in terms of culture and habits.
Even though a Hindu, I visit Churches and Gurudwara(the Sikh temple) with my friends..
