You should realize that most Hindus don't bother with Manusmriti and we give more importance to Vedas, Puranas and Upanishads. It is also possible that the Manusmriti has been corrupted badly.

Yes she may.

But don't bother much about what Manusmriti scripture says as it is neither popular nor much adhered to by the Hindus and also appears to be dogmatic. Hindus are free to adhere or not adhere to religious dogmas, so what they do now is to take the practical part of them and ignore the impractical ones.

manumitIto not a holy scripture 2 any hindu,it is one of d oldest scripture 2 know antient india,a hinduism follower followes only vedas nd upanishads, all d YAAMAS ND NIYAMAS r given in last version of upanishad,
it gives d direction nd rules for marriage ,lifestyle, dress code, attitude, decipline, punishments,[prayashits]
family rules,
i can give u full information if u ask me directly,or can read personally, manusmriti is like any other book ,cause if u start learning hinduism u find lot of scritures, mythological books even in libraries,
in india they started 2 write[rushi nd yog]when d world started 2 communicate verbally,
so dont try give out line information on hinduism.

There must be law and order to live
The law is also modified to suit the society

What is your point of criticism?
Do you wish burning of wives in this modern world?
