Default Why do atheists try to prove Christianity wrong, and not other religions like Hinduis

Think about it.
Why do people assume that people who say think about it at the end of a question assume they have a good point? Assume also has the word ass in it. Please stop trying to read my mind through a computer.

Buddhism doesn't involve a god and is actually a philosophy more so than a religion.

But mainly it's because Xianity is the most offensive and intolerant of them all. It's the only one trying to enforce it's morality on others by legislating laws.

Why do people always assume when they end a question with "think about it", they all of a sudden would have a valid point?

Anyway, for myself, Christianity is the only religion that affects politics where I live. Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Mitraism, they all give me zero problems in my daily life. Christianity does, a lot.

the same reasons a lot of people try to change atheists to believe in god.

One at a time.

Hinduism and Buddhism aren't promoted as aggressively or forced down our throats. Buddhism is a rather admirable moral guide - in fact Christianity would be - if most Christians followed the teachings of Jesus... alas...

Theists, especially Christians, try to control and restrict us based on their views. If all Christians stop crusading against science, culture, art, sex and sexuality, religious freedom and such, and stop telling everybody else they're going to be tortured throughout eternity unless they join you, I assure you that you won't encounter nearly as much hostility.

Possibly because Christianity is one of the largest religions of the Western world, or the most violent religion, or the most extremist religion.

It could also be Christianity's bloody past, or the fact that legislators are basing their decisions on Christianity in secular nations.

It could also be that Buddhism is a peaceful religion and Hinduism is pretty rare in the Western world.

It seems like you haven't thought about this at all.

Because it's the Christians who completely attack atheist beliefs. Rarely/never do I see a Hindu or Buddhist confront atheists and what we believe.

Buddhism is an atheistic religion, actually. And it's simply about doing good for others, and not any spreading of the word or anything.

In fact, neither of the religions you mentioned claim, in any way, shape, or form, to be the "one true religion".

Besides that, I don't care about proving anyone wrong. Believe whatever you want. Just keep it out of the legislation, and perhaps you'll see a lot less aggression.

Probalby because those Southern Baptists are so annoying with their loud, angry, detailed repetitive, southern-accented speeches.
But also because Atheism is so common in Christian countries.

Christianity is the largest religion on the planet and it wants more followers. Neither Hinduism or Buddhism are trying to convert anybody.
Sometimes the conversion attempts annoy atheists.
Christians will look you in the eye and say "you are going to hell cause you don't believe."

It may be because Christians are aggressive and forceful and try and force them to convert. Hinduism and Buddhism does not do this

In any serious fight you try to kill the biggest meanest one closest to you first. Don't worry, the others are next on the list. One thing at a time. The Christians are under our guns and when we sink that Battleship of a faith then we can go after the rest of the fleet.

And for those thinking that the prediction that people being outrageous butt heads would annoy people was a magical prophecy, I am prophesying rain this summer and snow next winter. Get ready to worship me when my words come true.

Jesus was more like Confucius...LOL

Jews are more of a society that you approach and convert, they do not proselytize

Christians on the other hand do not respect others and believe in an original sin, a leap of faith in hopes that others will to

then you need to believe in the same need to be "saved" and make it to paradise, much like Islam

atheists defend reason and fact, not propagate beliefs

the sky only appears blue...it is simply a reaction to the bending and manipulation of light, clouds appear dark but it's simply the absence of light from above blocked by water vapor

the moon appears to shine as quoted by bible in creation, but we know the sun's energy and light is reflected

the waters appear to rise but it's simply the effect of gravity of solar objects

and so on

I stick to facts, reason, theories that make sense and science which almost inherently and diametrically opposes major religions, which got Galileo into a heap of trouble and some were killed

I'm equally happy to prove any religion wrong, though the monotheistic ones appeal to me most. Usually the stupidest questions come from Christians rather than Buddhists. Get your quality control in order and there will be some equity around here.

As a Christian, I'd like to say that most Christians don't carry out violent acts in the name of God or anything. That was back during the Crusades; unfortunately, some hard lining Hindus in India and the surrounding area have been hostile to Christians living there (as well as Islamic extremists). Buddhists, for the most part, are peaceful individuals (not to say that all Hindus are violent).

Most Christians aren't out to convert people; rather, it is YOU that makes that decision. We can't convert yourself. That's why it's called free will.

And I don't think atheists would want to waste their time proving Hinduism wrong because they already don't believe in God and they certainly aren't going to try and disprove the "three million gods/goddesses" in the Hindu religion.

God's word has not changed and it will never change. It is people and their ideas about God that change over time.

Peace!
I would like to know myself.
Let me just say that science and Christianity are not incompatible. Even if the evolution and big bang theories are finally pr oven to be true they will not rule out the fact that God was the planner, designer and director of these theories. "Belief in God, who is Wisdom, cannot contradict the discovery of wisdom in the findings of Science." - Catholic Doctrine
