Default Why the western scholars without knowing much or trying to know, comment on Hinduism?

I heard you can only be a Hindu if you are born one, you can't convert.
That is why there is so few of them, 99% of them are in one country.

For one thing, they are probably totally unaware of how much there actually is to know about Hinduism. They think they know all that they need to know. They think Hinduism is the religion of idolatry described in the Bible, and so what more would they need to know?

What they don't realize is that Hinduism is a very deep philosophical religion with great wisdom. I think maybe it just never even occurs to people that there might be something worth knowing in other religions, and yet they feel able to comment based on their own biases.

this is true for all. people speak against Hindus without knowing it. And it is very difficult for a narrow-minded person to grasp the great philosophy of Hinduism

One has to have evolved a lot mental to understand Hinduism, particularly Vedanta and Sankhya philosophy

Still there are many examples of westerners understanding Hinduism better than Indians Dr. Fritjoff Kapra of Canada, Romand Rolland, and Sir John Woodroff are some examples of westeners (christians) who presented some parts of hinduism in a better way than indians could have done

Those like Sir John Woodroff, Fritjoff Capra, Schrodinger, Schopenhauer, Plato, Pythagoras and so many others who took pains to understand the deep philosophy have always spoken very high of Hinduism. But as rightly pointed out by many in the west, the scope to know is barred due to the fact that it is not proselytized like Christianity and Islam. Hinduism believes in freedom of faith and it is more a way of living than believing. It is a life style based on the changing but eternal principles of truth and experimented by many during last thousands of years, to be lived with a faith on Truth which is synonym of God, the Infinity, the Eternity, the ultimate Knowledge and the Right way.
