You would better go to some good lawyer and lodge complaint with him. Do not go to the Police.

If you both are majors (Husband age more than 21 years and wife age more than 18 years)
then get married through special marriage act (as you both are from different religions)
You file a case against your father in law through court or tin a police station that he is threatening you. Keep all the proofs of your marriage with you.
