Why do American hindus think there are no Indian muslims?

I'm not looking for hate comments so don't waste your time with that

I've met Hindu American Indian kids (not the parents who were born and raised there but there kids in America) who think that there aren't any Muslim Indians.................i've heard them say to Indian Muslim kids..."how can you be Indian if you're muslim"....and it's always "are you indian or muslim"?

even the most famous indians are muslims....sharuk, salman, amir khan, a.r. rahman and the kid in slumdog millionaire played a muslim

is it prejudice or true ignorance about their own culture?

Hindus originated and migrated from India to America so they are American Hindus
but in India Muslims are not originated and they migrated from some countries as per history
so they can't be Indian Muslims is my logic

Perhaps its just because they have never met any or they have only met one. Maybe the idea is new to the ones that you have met. Just because the American Hindus you have met don't believe there are no Indian Muslims doesn't mean that all American Hindus believe that.

They haven't grown up in India so they have no way of knowing what is true in India...all they have is their experiences in America. Which also means they have a different culture then someone their age has in India. They are Indian and American.

It is called Nikah Mut'ah, a fixed-time arrangement between a man and a woman that dissolves once the duration expires (Temporary Marriage).

You are not aware of Indians or their religion.Please equip yourself with the facts.

Hindus are original nationals of India. The cultural heritage, ancient scriptures, dances, literature are identified with Hindu. That is why India is identified with Hindus in spite of Muslim and christian population in India. Thus, there can be misconception. similar misconception is about Punjab province in India. Many identify Punjab with Sikhs ignoring that there may be also Punjabi Christians, Hindus or Muslims. There is no likelihood of prejudice in such matter.

They are as ignorant as other Americans as they are born and brought up there .

You should ask to Indian Hindu kid ,they will give you correct answer.

Most of Indians working in America are Brahmins (the upper caste among Hindus). Brahmins are Aryans by origin. The word Aryan comes from the Sanskrit Aryan meaning noble. Historians believe the original home of the Aryans was in the lands south of the Ural Mountains in what is now Kirghizstan. Arayans were intelligent people. Brahmins became the rulers of India and subjugated Dravidians (belonging to lower castes) who were the original inhabitants of India.

The position changed when Christians and Muslims came to India. Christianity and Islam came to India through religious preachers from Rome, Greece, West Asia etc. The Brahmins could not subjugate the Christians and Muslims as before. The claim that there are no Muslims and Christians in India is made by these Brahmins with the intention of alienating the Christians and Muslimswith prejudice and to promote their claim for supremacy in India over people. According to latest census about 15% of the Indian population is Muslims and about 3% are Christians. India is a democratic country and Constitution of India provides equal opportunity to people of all communities, castes and religions irrespective of their mother tongue, race and colour. The upper caste people still nurture the feeling that they are people to rule India and that the minority communities have no right in Indian because they are Christians or Muslims (not Hindus) due to PREJUDICE. They do not know that their fore-fathers were also emmigrants who settled in India prior to Christians and Muslims. If Chirstian and Muslim emigrants are not Indians, these Brahmins are also not Indians.
