It might be, but it's called pantheism. There are other traditional religions that have similar concepts of god.

Hindu has really no concept. concept is something you have an idea, which is you are not experienced as whole or absolute. Hindu is not a believer in god or devil or something else. he is a seeker to the ultimate truth. for him, each and everything thing important as him or the ultimate. and Hindu has no common believe system or god. basically who are born in ancient India are Hindu. Hindu is a cultural identity not a religious identity. if you are believing in god you are a good Hindu. if you are not believing in god then also you are a good Hindu. if you are accepting the devil then also you are a good Hindu. a Hindu really rev er everything as the ultimate or god. hindu really experienced that everythig is created by the ultimate creator.

Actually this is not a Hindu concept. The Pebble we (Hindu) choose/accept to worship or we have done "Pran Pratisha" to it and all the functions/rituals performed, only can taken as god. Rest are simple pebbles.
Also, that pebble which a Hindu has accepted as God is only god for that Hindu, and it is not binding on other to accept it as god.

We see lot of photos of Hindu gods printed on wrappers of various products thrown everywhere are just photos, paintings etc, since no "Pran Pratishtha" and rituals have been performed on them and has not been accepted as god.

It is all about our acceptance, if we have accepted it as a God then it is god for us only or else it is simple pebbles.
