In India, the Swastika is used in two forms, one with the arms moving to the right, the right-handed Swastika, and the other with the arms moving to the left, the so-called "left-handed" occult Swastika. It is commonly thought that the Nazis used the left-handed Swastika and that this is the difference between the Hindu's use of the Swastika and the Nazi's use of it. But this is not the case. In fact, the Nazis used the same right-handed Swastika that is used in modern Hinduism, but gave it a 45 degree turn. This gives it the appearance of being left-handed, even though it is not. Regardless, in India many groups have used the left-handed Swastika. One common example amongst Hindu groups is the Theosophical Society, which used it on their logo. The left-handed Swastika is also associated with esoteric tartaric practices. Jains and Buddhists often use the left handed Swastika as well. Today the right-handed Swastika is mainly used in Hindu temples, homes and sacred ceremonies as a symbol or affirmation of good luck, health and prosperity. A "yes" to life!
the four arms of swastika actually represent the four forces or four time bounds(Karita treat Diaspora and Kali). The four forces include karma(Human or materialistic), Devinne( that keeps universe fixed), spiritual(that causes the mankind to progress), Dharma(eternal bliss).
The swastika is a historical sacred symbol in Indian religions. it is a sacred symbol in Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Odinism. It is a common sight on temples or houses in India or Indonesia. The swastika is an ancient symbol present in numerous and diverse cultures around the world, including the cultures of India, Asia, the Middle East, Europe and North America.
In India, the swastika has thousands of years of history and still retains its place of Prue-eminence among the sub-continent's spiritual symbols. It remains one of the most prominent spiritual symbols in Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism, and is found adorning temples and religious shrines throughout Asia. After its misuse by the Nazis, it became associated with murder and oppression on a scale never before witnessed on this earth. For this reason, in Europe, for many millions, the swastika came to symbolize evil. There arose, as a result of this, a move to ban the swastika.
The swastika has been seen as a symbol for good luck by people in both ancient and modern times. A closer look at the etymology of this Sanskrit word, however, reveals a deeper meaning. When the Sanskrit scholar and spiritual teacher, P.R. Sarkar visited Germany in 1979 he gave the following interpretation of the word:
Si - means "good"
as ti - means "to be, to exist"
Ike - means "what is in existence, and will continue to exist"
a - denotes feminine gender
So "Swastika" means a 'good existence' that is not to be destroyed and that remains in a good condition. He went on to say that its deeper meaning is permanent victory.
In the context of the cultural origins of the swastika, this means the victory of drama - the fundamental spiritual nature of humanity. The swastika is an equilateral cross with its arms bent at right angles in either left-facing or right-facing direction. The swastika is a sacred symbol in Hinduism and Jainism. The Hindu version is often decorated with a dot in each quadrant.
However, in the Western world, it is most widely known and used as a symbol of Nazism. It is traditionally oriented so that a main line is horizontal, though it is occasionally rotated at forty-five degrees.
AUM relates to Hinduism only and not like swastika symbol which is used and misused by many other countries like Germany. But, Aum is a sacred symbol of hindus. The most sacred symbol in Hindu dharma. Aum (OM) is the sound of the infinite. Aum is said to be the essence of all mantras, the highest of all matras or divine word (shabda), brahman (ultimate reality) itself. Aum is said to be the essence of the Vedas. By sound and form, AUM symbolizes the infinite Brahman (ultimate reality) and the entire universe. The three letters also indicates three planes of existence, heaven (swarga), earth (martya) and netherworld (patala). All the words produced by the human vocal organ can be represented by AUM. A is produced by the throat, U & M by the lips. In the Vedas, AUM is the sound of the Sun, the sound of Light. It is the sound of assent (affirmation) and ascent (it has an upwards movement and uplifts the soul.
so, swastika a symbol of well being but Aum represents God, shabda, a Divine nature. No connection to these symbols.

The Swastika is one of the most misunderstood symbol used in Hinduism. As per Poornatantravidhi, it is a Yantra drawn to represent and respect the guardian deities of directions before performing any auspicious ceremony for protection from dark forces. It is a visual representation of the Dikpalakas or the Guardians of the different directions and the Karakas. Together these guardian deities rule the 8 quarters of the earth and 2 directions. The circle usually drawn outside the Swastika represents the steady movement of time also known as 'Reg-van' meaning rhythmic progressions. Swastika is also one of the oldest Yantras in use as of today. The word Swastika comes from the Sanskrit words Si, meaning well, and as ti, meaning to be.
