Yamunaithruraivan is one of the names of Lord Krishna. He was called Yamunaithuraivan since he performed many miracles on the banks of Yamuna Nadia. I have also heard that, Krishna is called by that name since Yamuna Nadia was blessed to get physical contact with him. This is what i was told when i was a child. Maybe there are other reasons.

In here, Yamunaithuraivan is a great bhaji of Mahavishnu and probably knows in and out of all Dadaism's. God bless him.

Andal is one of the most extraordinary personalities in religious history. She is known in her native tongue of Tamil as an Alvar, one who is "immersed" in the depths of enjoyment of God, the omnipresent mysterious One. Tradition reckons 12 Alvars, of which Andal is the only female. She lived only for 6 or 7 years in this world and was one of two alwars to get miraculously disappear at Lord Ranganatha's feet (anthardhyanam)

Andal also called Kodai nachiyar, is none other than Bhudevi one of the consorts of Sriman Narayana who was born ayonijah (without spending in mother's garbha). Andal fondly gave this name Yamunaithuraivan to Sri Krishna in the fifth pasuram of Tiruppavai "mayanai mannu vadamathurai ....". River Yamuna's baghyam to have contact with Krishna is hailed here. DNut ji has put it nicely.

One of Srivaishnava important acharya had this name and was referred as Yamunacharya (Alavandar).
