You are ignorant of both, the rights of women in Hinduism and the rights of women in Islam.
Your temples are the example as to how women were treated and described. Sanyasis and Devadassis stories are plenty, which you surely know. You cannot hide a pumpkin by your palms.
Honestly, try to read rights of women in Hinduism and Rights of Women in Islam, to know clearly the differences.
In Hinduism if women enjoy the equal freedom, please let me know which husband has committed Sati on the death of his wife ?
If you consider bearing the seed is a violation of freedom, does it mean that Men of your religion also bearing the seed and give birth to children ? Ridiculous. Please have some shame.
If you say that is it outlawed, that means you are readily agreeing to the existence of the heinous practice, of burning the wife alive, along with the dead husband.

Islam granted voting rights to women before 1400 years, whereas in your modern democracy women are allowed to vote just from less than 2 centuries only.

I am very glad to hear all your conversation which shows that you are all for change, betterment and humanity. Women were issues just for certain time in the history in all religion. But if we talk about hoary past, we even hear about how men were treated by men. Slavery existed in all practices and religious groups.
There are superstitious believes in all practices. Cultures are made by people when obstacles (problems) come. Like someone mentioned harassment of women as they were taken in American Army, practices must have been adopted to curb arising problems. We still do that as we have to go ahead of fighting and not getting anywhere.
So all practices and culture make sense to curb contemporary problems.
But it is us who haven't been able to see smartness of our ancestor and following many things blindly without knowing proper reason.
So why don't we create or reform things to work in contemporary society like our ancestor did rather than fighting over it.
