As I understand, and do correct if I'm wrong, but the Shandamuth shrine and Gupta-Gaand shrines are generally considered to be more powerful.

All Hindu Shrines are powerful only. Eash Shrines have their own Thalia Purana's. Madurai monkish Amman temple, Tanjore Brahadeeshwarar temple, Aaru padAIeedu temples, Tiruvannamalai Annamalaiyar temple, Kanchi Kamakshi amman temple, Ekambareswarar temple, Kanthimati amman temple at Tirunelveli, Jyotir Linga temple of Shiva at Rameshwaram. Tiruppati Balaji Temple, Mylapore Kapali temple, Triplicane parthasarathy temple, Bhagavathy amman temple at kerala and many more temples.

The ancient and historical connected temples are Chidambaram Nataraja temple, Madurai Meenakshi Amman temple, Tirumala-Tiruppathi Balaji temple, Rameshwaram Shiva temple. There are many more temples besides the above. All are powerful shrines only.

The Sabharimala Ayyappan Temple is very much famous powerful. Tirumala Balaji Temple is also like that. Rameshwaram Shiva temple and Chidambaram Nataraja temple too ancient history connected temples.

so, Every Temple is powerful in south india.
