To answer your question, Hindus do not believe in "Heaven" in the way that Christians and Muslims do. In Hinduism, the soul, which lives on after death,is reincarnated time and again on Earth until it is so pure that it may become part of the eternal reality, Brahman, or God. Purity in Hinduism is defined as having completed ones duty and become conscious of God. "Heaven" for Hindus is when our soul becomes part of Brahman. It is more a state of being than a place, a feeling of eternal bliss and peace.
squiggle's answer is a little off. The caste system in Hinduism has its origins in the book of Manu, a highly controversial writing that many people disagree with. The original caste system was meant simply to group people according to their professions so as they could fulfill their duty. In any case, the caste system in Hindu culture today has diminished to a point where there is a reverse caste system in place, a system of quotas and political correctness where Dalits or scheduled castes and tribes have MORE opportunity in certain areas than those of the supposedly "higher" castes.
