You cannot be converted to a Hindu. You have to be born Hindu.

This depends upon what you mean by "converted".

Hinduism tends to see Catholicism as being "just another path to God". You are Catholic. You are Hindu. No contradiction there.

If you want formal initiation into one of sects of Hinduism, you'll have to discuss the requirements with either your guru, or temple priests. For most sects, this is roughly equivalent to entering the lower orders of clergy, in Catholicism.

Note: For various reasons, Hindu temples have the working assumption that if one is of Indian descent, one is Hindu, but if one is not of Indian descent, then one is not Hindu, unless one has also taken formal initiation.

Discriminatory? Yes, but based on decades of experience with westerners who have no clue as to how to behave, and were not willing to learn how to behave.

There is no formalities to convert as Hindu. Its your wish. You can do Poona and lot of slogans to praise the god are there. You can visit temples. Hinduism is just a practise of some things. It has good ethics and Morales. You have to follow these Morales if you are a true Hindu.

Well, to convert to Hinduism, no formal process is needed. If u wish, to, u can change Ur name or add a Hindu name like I did. If u r registered in Ur passport or some thin as a catholic, then u need to get that changed. Going to a temple regularly and performing Poona can also help. If u wish, u can formally get converted by a priest or such. I suggest a peaceful organization such as Krishna Conciousness. In North India, it is unacceptable for Hindus to eat beef, but the practice is accepted in the south, so that is entirely your own choice. Also, never forget that while some Hindus may tell u that u have to be born a Hindu, u have to follow a caste system or such other crap, none of this is true and is your personal choice. The important thing is that u be a good human being n always remain tolerant. All the best.

Please try to get the knowledge of God. Try to understand God. It does not matter what community you are in. Do approach a spiritual person and en quire about God.

Religious faith is a sentiment. Faith can change Today I am a Hindu tomorrow I can place my faith in Christianity. But your relationship with God is neither Hindu, Christian, Muslim. The designation is external.
Get it within yourself first. How to get that? No matter in what position you are in approach a saintly person and begin your questions.

The questions can be Why I am lonely? Why I am being neglected? How can I engage myself to revive my relationship with God, how I can serve God?
It does not matter if your are a Catholic. It can help you better if you ask questions.
Please take some effort in finding a person to get answers to your questions.

You can write down the question. Writing helps.

There is no fixed ceremony .

Contact local priest and he may perform an official Puja and you can accept Hinduism formally.

Arya Samaj also provides a welcoming ceremony.

Vaishnav temples also have such ceremonies.

Best thing is too talk with priest and it will just be some Puja performed.

You don't have to converted to become a Hindu. It is not like Christianity or Judaism. Just believe in the laws practiced by Hindus and that is enough.
