what do you think about islam and muslims?

i think the same thing about Muslims that i think about people of most any large-scale organized religion: they are, in general, well-meaning and good people who are being taken advantage of by a powerful and well-entrenched system.

Its the BEST religion ever ...

I agree with needlepoint's: Islam is much like Christianity or Judiasm, a system that exploits well-meaning folks and uses them to consolidate political power. It's time humans came out of the jungle and joined the 21st century- leaving behind our myths and superstitions. Let's go with truth only!

Right now there are many negative impressions because of the terrorism that occurs now. Muslims can do much to help change that negative impression by helping to fight terrorism. So the good ones have to help to stop the bad ones.

As a Hindu, Islam is a beautiful religious path that teaches people devotion towards God and towards humanity and community. The Muslims I have met and know are all wonderful people who care very deeply about others and their devoted relationship with God.

What is it that joins these nations and this Universal configuration into a common fraternity?
What makes a brother from Australia my brother, a brother from America my brother, a brother from Africa, China, Russia and so forth, my brother?
What makes them my brothers? We have that different cultural and psychological backgrounds. What is it about Islam, that automatically embraces us and joins us together as a brotherhood?
